An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Officer in the Adults Social Care Commissioning Team.
Working to the Commissioning Manager you will have responsibility for contract compliance, developing stakeholder relationships and development of contracted social care provision. Additionally you will support with the planning, development and procurement of services to meet the required outcomes for Coventry’s citizens and to ensure service delivery is to the required quality standards. Part of the role will support Better Care Fund activities, which focus on integrated approaches across Health and Social Care.
We are looking for applicants that are able to demonstrate the ability to build and maintain good relationships with external partners, experience of monitoring contracts, able to analyse information, compile clear reports and understand financial and service information. You will need some experience and technical knowledge of contractual processes, review and evaluation of contract compliance including understanding the impact of deploying a diverse range of contracting arrangements within the community and sector. We are looking for someone with experience in these areas who is willing to be supported and developed in this challenging role.
This role is based within a multi-disciplinary team within Adult Social Care commissioning, which is part of the People Directorate. We aim to support people to live independent and fulfilling lives, free from harm or abuse.
Coventry City Council employees will shortly be moving to new premises, very near to the train station. The Friargate headquarters is a prestigious newly constructed office building housing a variety of services, and will be occupied by approximately 1,800 staff working in an agile manner. The post holder will be joining Coventry City Council at an exciting time as the organisation changes the way in which it delivers its services.

Full Time Post - Standard based on a 37 hour week:
Monday- Thursday: 08:30- 17:00
Friday: 08:30- 16:30
