Fixed term: Hours of work: TA 27.5 per week MDS 3.75 per week
This post is fixed until 18.07.25 in the first instance, or earlier if the child leaves our school.
Salary: TA1 £14183 - £14420 dependent on experience, MDS £1871 - £1902 dependent on experience

Bilton Infant School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and adaptive TA to be a pivotal part of our team. This role will be to support a child starting in Reception in September, who has an EHCP. The successful candidate will take responsibility for agreed learning activities within our Reception provision and our nurture room. They will be well supported in this caring and nurturing school. 
Bilton Infant School is part of the Bilton Community Federation of three schools – Bilton Infant School, Bawnmore Community Infant School and Bilton Junior School.

We are looking for someone who:
•    Has experience of working with children with autism and ideally also of Reception.
•    Has a genuine interest in young people and their learning and development.
•    Is able to communicate confidently and respectfully with other staff, parents and children.
•    Is a good role model to children.
•    Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children (full training will be given).

Qualifications/ Training and likely abilities:
•    Maths and English to GCSE level
•    Good communication skills
•    Valuing and respecting the views and needs of children
•    Knowledge of Makaton would be desirable
