About the Team


People 2, Team 5, have an exciting position available.  Within this role you will be supporting Social Care staff within Rugby Children’s Team which encompass Initial Response and Safeguarding and Support teams. We work with colleagues and multi-agency professionals at all levels across the service to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families, working together across Warwickshire. We work with children and families restoratively, building strong relationships and connections to help families fine long last solutions. About the Role


The role of Business Support is to support teams with administrative and financial tasks as well as minuting statutory meetings.  Business Support contributes to the efficient running of the team and the achievement of the County Council vision to make Warwickshire the best it can be, sustainable now and for future generations.


You will work in a team to provide effective, flexible and responsive Business Support to one of the Council’s Services, with the ability to support other teams as and when required.  It is a fast paced, energetic and exciting area to work in, where you will be part of a close team.  Warwickshire County Council operate an agile and hybrid work approach subject to the needs of the business.


You will work proactively, looking for new ways of working, contributing to the outcomes of the services that you are supporting as well as the outcomes of the Business Support Service.


We are looking for someone who has good organisational skills, is able to problem solve and use their own initiative, a great attention to detail with excellent communication skills. Strong minute taking skills are essential.


As part of this role you would be required to undertake general administration duties, data analysis and manipulation, respond to queries and assist and support frontline services over 2 of our buildings in Rugby. 


The successful applicant will have: -

  • An ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment, and to manage changes at short notice.
  • Good IT skills with a knowledge of systems for data management.
  • Experience of minute taking essential and specific training will be given.
  • Reception experience would be beneficial to this role.
