About the Role


We are looking for a full-time training officer to work 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday. This position requires flexible working on some days, for instance some early days (start 6am and finish correspondingly early) and some late days (finish 7:30pm and start correspondingly later). This is dependent on the Cleaning employee start and finish times.


The post holder will train our Cleaning and Caretaking team with basic skills, including key specialist training like working at height, moving and handling, safe use of  machines & chemicals at various WCC (Warwickshire County Council) buildings and limited WES (Warwickshire Education Services) schools covering throughout Warwickshire.


Post holder must hold UK driving license and willing to travel throughout Warwickshire to deliver training on site every week in your own vehicle , Monday to Friday (mileage paid WCC rates) and be self-motivated in time management


Key Requirements

  • Monitor and evaluate all training against agreed criteria and ensure compliance with all current applicable legislations including COSHH & Health and safety regulations.
  • Will oversee Health and Safety and risk assessments for Facilities Services -SOFT FM 
  • Will support the Quality Assurance cleaning Inspections at various schools & WCC sites. 
  • Will be working with internal and external customers and be fully confident in delivery of various training topics and delivering caretaker seminars ( 3 or 4 times per year relevant to cleaning and caretaking job roles).
