Job Title: Family Contact Worker
Salary: £24,294 - £25,979 per annum

37 Hours per Week
Location:
County Hall, Worcester
Permanent

The Role:
The supervised contact service is an important part of the Children's Social Work Services in Worcestershire.

This service enables the local authority to fulfil its duties and responsibilities to promote contact for children with their birth family and friends.  For some children the provision of a supervising facilitator is essential to ensure that contact with family and friends is a safe and positive experience.

We want to build capacity and flexibility to the current good practice of our supervising contact service which will enable us to extend support to children who require this service. We also want to bring more flexibility in our service in order to meet the needs of children and young people, their carer's and their families.

Who are we looking for?

First and foremost, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic and committed to supporting children to have positive experiences with family and friends. You should have good communication skills and can quickly build relationships. Some experience in working with children and young people and their families is important.

Operating hours are 8am-8pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 9am-5pm. This is a full-time position, and we are looking for someone to work flexibly Monday to Friday and one in four Saturdays. The location of work is predominantly Malvern and Worcester; however this is a County wide service and also requires travel outside of County.
