Overall Purpose of the post:
This role is a varied post designed to coordinate and deliver key services and activities undertaken by Droitwich Spa CVS through the Moving Forward project. This project is based in a community hub on Westlands estate supporting local residents. This role requires a good understanding of the voluntary and community sector specifically in Droitwich but also within Worcestershire. A pro-active individual who shares the values of the charity and has a commitment to their own personal development will find there is excellent potential for development and growth in this post.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate day to day administration and activities relating to the project, maintaining the most efficient service possible within the resources available.
- To manage the office in the Project Manager’s absence. Develop and run specific projects to complement the services.
- To mentor other members of the staff team and volunteers.
- Promoting the project wherever possible; attending events, network meetings, outreach, on social media etc.
- Signposting service users to other support organisations.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records to provide reports as required by the Project Manager.
- Undertake regular reviews to ensure that objectives and targets are met, making recommendations for service improvement as appropriate.
- Recruit new volunteers to assist in any aspect of the project.
- Ensure that partners and users receive up to date information regarding the project services.
- Participate in the overall Staff Team, with regards to all matters that require a team approach, e.g. Strategic Planning, office procedures, service user feedback, and maintain a helpful and supportive approach to staff, volunteers and trustees.
- Undertake professional development/training to meet developing requirements and to maintain necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the duties as specified.
