Staffordshire County Council Administers the Local Government Pension Scheme for in excess of 100,000 members (35,000 actives, 40000 deferred and 32000 pension members). The pension’s administration system used to administer the scheme is Aquila Heywood Altair which includes work flow, document imaging and pension’s payroll.
The current team comprises a mixture of 50 full-time and part-time staff and is based at Staffordshire County Council’s modern office complex in the County Town of Stafford.
We are seeking to recruit to the team a part-time (18.5/37) Assistant Pensions Manager in the salary range of £40057 to £43821 pro-rata. This new role will be responsible for Communication, Governance and Data Security. The successful candidate will have considerable experience in a senior role in Local Government Pension Scheme administration and can demonstrate a wide and extensive range of knowledge of the Scheme rules and overriding legislation. Previous experience of dealing with scheme employers at a senior level and an understanding of actuarial principles underlying the LGPS would also be desirable.
