Personal Welfare Support Assistant

Fixed term until December 2017

Grade 2 £15115 – £15,613 pro-rata

 

We are seeking to appoint a personal welfare assistant to support a child within our school.  This is an exceptional opportunity for a friendly, motivated person to join our primary school. The right candidate should be enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated and resilient person with capacity for hard work.  This post is part time (30 hours) per week, term time only. 

 

The successful applicant will provide support to a specific child working closely with, and taking guidance from the class teacher. The role involves supporting the class teacher, usually in the classroom, and providing support with managing challenging pupil behaviour.

 

Experience in dealing and managing challenging behaviour would be an advantage. The duties of the post are varied so the ability to work under pressure and a high level of flexibility is required.
