Before and After School Club Co-Ordinator
7.5 Hours per Week
Fixed term contract to July 2018
Minimum of 7.5 hours per week during term time only, with additional hours if required by arrangement due to changing pupil numbers. This position is a one year, fixed term contract.
We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic Before and After School Club Co-Ordinator to be responsible for the day to day organisation and operation of our well-established and growing Before and After School Club, known as Woosh Club. Woosh Club is located on our school site and managed by the Headteacher. The administration and finance tasks are completed by the school. Your focus would be the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging, creative and fun activities and provision of high quality childcare in a safe, caring environment. You will be supported by one or more Play Workers (dependent on numbers). We are looking for someone who is able to use their own initiative and work independently, as part of the wider school team.
Woosh club is open from 8.00 - 8.40 am in the morning, and from 3.30 - 6.00 pm in the evening.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent childcare qualification
- Experience of working with and caring for children
- Able to communicate with people at all levels including the Head teacher, staff, parents and children
- First Aid and Child Protection training
- Knowledge of basic behaviour management
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
