Wolverhampton Disabled Children and Young People’s Team have two qualified social work vacancies available.

The Team is unique in that we work with children and young people from 0-25, to allow for a smooth transition into Adulthood. At present Wolverhampton is the only Local Authority who has a 0-25 service within the West Midlands.

The team undertakes Children in Need work, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and are also involved in PLO and Court Work. We also support children with complex needs, whose family receive direct payments and short breaks.

Within Wolverhampton you will be supported in your daily role by a strong and supportive management team who are dedicated to promoting learning and development. Career development is a priority for us. You will receive regular supervision and an annual appraisal that will agree a professional development plan. We will actively encourage and support you in accessing training and other development activities.

You will need to be a team player who thrives on dealing with different challenges. You will be joining a motivated and forward looking management team who are committed to improving the services offered to children, young people and their families in Wolverhampton.

For this post you must have a recognised social work qualification, substantial post qualification experience in work with children and families and hold HCPC registration.
