Job Details
Education ICT Services have a vacancy for an ‘Apprentice Business and System Administration Assistant’ to join our busy team who support ICT for schools, libraries and other public spaces in Solihull. Under the guidance and support of our ‘Business Manager’ and ‘Systems Administrator’ you will provide general administration support using our internal ICT systems along with Microsoft Office Suite. Your duties will include general administrative, clerical, operational and business support tasks for the Education ICT Services Team (EICTS).
You will help to keep our systems up to date and tidy and will also engage with our customers for tasks such as sending out quotations and purchasing equipment on their behalf.
We would expect you to be motivated and customer focused and possess a willingness to learn how to provide support for the team with daily administration work on our Management systems as and when required.
You will be required to undertake the Business Administration level 3 apprenticeship training.
You will have:
- GCSE English and Mathematics Grade A-C/4 or above or certified equivalent
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including, Word, Excel and Outlook
- The ability to collect, organise and prepare information ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills both verbally and written including ability to liaise with different people of different technical abilities.

This is a fixed term contract for a period of 21 months which is the duration of the apprenticeship.
