We are seeking a Lawyer to join our friendly and dynamic Legal team supporting Stratford on Avon and Warwick District Councils.
As a litigation lawyer, you will work in our Planning & Regulatory Team and will specialise in regulatory advice and prosecutions, public sector housing advice and prosecutions and general criminal and civil litigation including housing litigation.
We are a large Legal Team that is friendly and supportive with a strong team ethic. We support two progressive, ambitious local authorities involved in a range of exciting projects. You will be directly involved in varied and high-quality legal work and make a positive difference to our communities.
We welcome applications from experienced litigation lawyers, both Solicitors and Legal Executives, but we will also consider people with the commitment and ability to develop and grow in these areas of legal practice. Most importantly, we seek applications from enthusiastic and adaptable people who are motivated to use their research and analytical skills to provide practical, solution-focussed legal advice to our internal clients.
Local government experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector. We will accept applications from qualified solicitors, barristers and fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives.
We are based at offices in the centre of historic Stratford upon Avon. We embrace flexible, agile working arrangements including home working.
For a confidential discussion about the role, please contact Sue Mullins, Interim Legal Services Manager, on 01789 260975 or by email sue.mullins@stratford-dc.gov.uk.
Applications will close on midnight on 16 September 2024.
Interviews will be held week commencing 30 September 2024.
