Job Details

Title: Healthy Pregnancy Support Worker

Grade/Salary: Band E (£29,269 - £33,945)

Contract Type: Fixed Term 3 Years

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Hybrid working across various locations within Sandwell

 

An exciting opportunity to work within the newly established Healthy Pregnancy team to deliver high quality support to pregnant women across Sandwell.  The service will focus on improving support on a range of health issues such as smoking, obesity etc. with the overall aim of improving outcomes for healthy pregnancy and infant mortality.

To ensure that services and initiatives are integrated across the early years system the post will be required to work as part of a hybrid model, working across various locations to support expectant families.

You will be expected to select up to four essential requirements for the role, insert these below

  • Undergraduate degree / NVQ level 3 or 4 in in a health-related subject or experience of working delivering health promotion or stop smoking interventions/support.
  • NCSCT Certified Practitioner (or willingness to undertake this training on appointment)
  • Experience of working with healthcare professionals within a complex and pressured environment.
  • Knowledge of impact of modifiable lifestyle factors on pregnant people and their babies Direct experience of working in a health improvement or health promotion context
