Principal Officer

The Claims Management Regulation Unit is based at Burton on Trent, and supports the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) with responsibilities for authorisation, monitoring the market and enforcement in relation to the Compensation Act 2006. This Act created the regulatory framework for claims management companies.

The contract is currently due to run until the end of March 2019.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with management experience to join the Unit in a key, senior role of Principal Claims Management Officer. The successful applicant will join a management team that has significant technical and enforcement experience. The appointment will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to hone their management skills in a regulatory environment whilst increasing the overall management experience of the senior team.

A working knowledge of legislation and experience of enforcement are required, in addition we are seeking someone with proven experience and skill in managing teams, performance, and effective communication. Essential skills also include negotiation, diplomacy, good organisational ability and the successful candidate must be conscientious and approachable.
