The postholder will assist in providing an efficient and effective administration and support function to the Licensing Unit. They will be a key member of a small team and will act as a first point of contact of the service to the customer.
You will assist with the processing of the full range of applications for the grant or renewal of licences, registrations and consents within the remit of the Licensing Unit.
You should already possess previous experience of working within a busy office environment. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software and with well developed communication skills you should be able to demonstrate the first class frontline customer service skills required when dealing with members of the general public.
You will be expected to have a structured and organised approach to dealing with tasks and possess the ability to deal calmly but firmly with individuals.
The current hours of work are all day Monday and Tuesday plus Wednesday morning. However, flexibility in this arrangement is required from time-to-time to cover for absent colleagues. Please note that the current working arrangement is being reviewed and may change in the near future.
