37 hours per week
9 Month Fixed-Term Contract

The temporary accommodation team provide safe, cost-effective temporary accommodation for homeless people within Warwick District Council and support the housing options officers in securing move-on pathways to permanent rehousing.

The Homeless Support Worker will have to deal with clients regularly providing at least one face to face support session and property inspection weekly.

You will have a caseload of clients where you will be required to undertake support in line with their assessed needs to ensure an effective support and housing management service is provided.

Undertake weekly or as appropriate welfare visits to clients within temporary accommodation to provide support, advice and guidance accommodation. Complete property inspections and update on the system, ensuring that all repairs are reported promptly and monitored to ensure timely completions.

Support households in improving their health and social well-being and advocate on their behalf to engage with the appropriate agencies and services as required.

A full driving licence and a car with business insurance cover is essential.

Experience of working with complex households and delivering effective housing management support while in temporary accommodation essential.
