Sandwell Council is the relevant authority for Black Country Coroners Jurisdiction, covering
Dudley Walsall, Wolverhampton and Sandwell.

As a Coroners Officer you will be part of a small team who investigates sudden or unexplained
deaths across all four areas of the Black Country which is based in Oldbury.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain a wide variety of investigative experience in a busy,
demanding forward thinking coronial area.

Applicants will require the confidence and gravitas necessary to carry out this important public
function.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, excellent communicator who has the ability help
those who need it most at what is likely a very difficult time in their lives.

Applicants must also have excellent ICT and administration skills.

All necessary training, support and familiarisation will be provided.
