Job Details
Sandwell Council pay all its employees the current Living Wage rate as a minimum. The decision to pay a Living Wage supplement is reviewed on an annual basis.
Hours of Work: Saturday & Sunday - 7am -10am
Working with the Facilities Management team to provide a safe and clean environment for all customers using Sandwell M.B.C establishments.
The vacancies are permanent positions within Corporate Strategic Assets & Land.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:
- Proven experience of undertaking cleaning tasks
- To undertake the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
- To carry out a range of daily cleaning tasks, e.g., damp wiping of desks, vacuuming, mopping and buffing, cleaning of kitchens and breakout areas, toilet cleaning, all in line with the cleaning schedule for that location.
Applicants to be able to demonstrate the following characteristics: -
- Ability to organise and prioritise your own workload whilst working alone or part of a team.
- Ability to follow a cleaning schedule
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with staff
- To undertake the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
- An understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH practises.
- Excellent health and attendance record.
- Willing to undertake any training that is required.
