FULL-TIME or PART-TIME

REQUIRED January 2025, or sooner if appropriate for successful candidate.

Deadline for applications – Monday 16th September

Salary:  Main Scale (UPS for excellent candidates who are interested in subject leadership) Full time or part time.

The School is committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children.

We are a thriving school, sat in beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Evesham.  Having gone through a period of phased expansion, we have 450 pupils on roll across the 3 years [Y6, Y7 & Y8] and are full with waiting lists.  We have a new Headteacher in post and are working hard on developing a knowledge-based curriculum with high ambitions for all pupils.

We are a comprehensive school and offer a positive and supportive environment. We are pupil centred and have academic and moral aspirations for all of our pupils. Children who leave St Egwin’s predominantly go on to study at Prince Henry’s High School where their GCSE and A Level results are consistently well above national averages.

Ofsted feedback (March 2019): “Pupils are hard-working, confident learners, orderly, smart, keen and ready to learn and articulate”. “The senior team has an ambitious vision for the school.”  “Relationships are a strength across the school”.

If you are an ambitious, driven and inspirational person, with a passion and enthusiasm for teaching & learning and would like to be part of our core team, then this could be the perfect position for you.

It is a permanent post (with full-time or part-time potential) to teach or lead Music across the school.

We offer a warm, welcoming, and dedicated professional team of staff with great facilities.  Well-being of staff and pupils matters to us and is seen in how the school is run on a day-to-day basis.

Visits to the school are recommended but not essential. If you would like to book a tour and/or chance to speak with the Headteacher, please email Andy Collard (Headteacher) acollard@st-egwins.worcs.sch.uk.

You can expect the following when working at St Egwin’s:

  • To work in a calm, purposeful environment.
  • Highly supportive leaders and supportive colleagues.
  • Pupils who external visitors consistently comment are well behaved and positive.
  • The support of the local church community.
  • A commitment to high quality professional development.
  • Well-being support through policy and practice.

You will be passionate about learning and will believe that every pupil has the same right to an inspiring and enriching education.

You should:

  • Be highly competent, hardworking and passionate about teaching.
  • Be a passionate advocate for Music and willing to ensure pupils have memorable experiences in and outside of the Music curriculum.
  • Be an excellent role-model for our pupils.
  • Show a willingness to consistently deliver lessons to a consistently high standard, and strive to develop your own teaching and learning.
  • Be comfortable with supporting out distinctive Christian ethos.
  • Be able to work effectively within an enthusiastic, outward-looking, forward-thinking team.
