Job Details

We are currently recruiting to an Accounts Officer role in our Rent Accounting and Home Ownership Service. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:

  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Additional education to level 2
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in a housing finance environment
  • Flexibility, reliability and able to work in an agile environment
  • Experienced in reconciliation and analysing data
  • Knowledge of leaseholder and Right to Buy legislation
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft software, in particular Excel spreadsheets
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be organised and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience of electronic management systems for example in housing, finance and/or corporate management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The council operates hybrid working. This involves working from an agreed workplace location in the borough for at least two days a week.

The closing date for applications is Monday 16 September 2024.

Interviews will take place week commencing 30 September 2024.
