The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Biology Lab Technician to join our vibrant and well-resourced Science Department. You will play a key role in supporting the department’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that practical lessons run smoothly and safely. Your contributions will directly enhance the learning experience of our students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for Biology practical lessons.
- Assist teaching staff with practical demonstrations and experiments.
- Maintain the Biology lab and equipment, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
- Support students during practical sessions, offering guidance and ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Science Department to share best practices and resources.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in Biology or a related scientific discipline.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both students and staff.
- A flexible approach and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community.
