Contract: Full Time, 37 hours per week

We are recruiting a Systems Development Officer responsible for ensuring that the functionality of our Social Care Systems continue to comply with legislative and business requirements, ensuring that Walsall Council continues to deliver effective support to our citizens both in the present and the future.
The collaborative nature of the work requires excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. The broad scope of the role requires a results-focused approach, supported by well-developed analytical planning, social care work-based experience knowledge and strong IT skills in system development and design.

For this role the successful candidate must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identify and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central governments and local authorities. A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
