Grade 5- £40,221 - £48,474 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review
We are a Living Wage Employer, and all our roles will be paid as such where the pay scales are below the Living Wage rate.
Working 36.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid / Birmingham City Council House.
About us
These are exciting times to be working at Birmingham City Council and especially in the Early Years and Childcare Service due to the recent significant increased investment from central government for Wraparound Childcare for Primary School Age children, Expanded Early Years Entitlements for eligible working parents and the ongoing Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. Due to this significant investment, there will be more demands on the Early Years and Childcare Service which is why we are currently expanding our current staffing structure to meet increased service demands.About the Role
You will be responsible for leading on the Wraparound Childcare and the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes.
You will be responsible for ensuring Department for Education (DfE) grant funding is maximised and expected outcomes met. This will include:
- Managing a team of 6
- Collating data and submitting returns to DfE
- Monitoring programme outcomes
- Co-ordinating and managing project funding panels associated with both programmes ensuring funded projects meet DfE objectives.
- Giving advice, support and guidance to stakeholders as required.
About You
You will need to hit the ground running.
You will be an experienced, driven, creative and a passionate advocate for children and young people.
You will have significant experience of building effective working relationships with stakeholders and influencing at all levels, including partners.
You will be an excellent planner, co-ordinator and communicator.
