We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Officer to join our Customer Services Team at the One Stop Shop. We are looking to appoint dynamic, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to provide excellent front-line customer services in a busy, fast-paced environment. Our service is the first point of contact for visitors at the Council House and the successful applicants will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer care and the ability to assist with a wide range of queries, as well as promoting channel shift and facilitating customers to utilise the wide range of options available for accessing council services.

The role:
You will answer customer enquiries and requests about a wide range of services.
You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment and be a positive self- motivated person.
You must be able to respond promptly as well as politely and accurately to resolve customer queries.
Key Requirements:
We are looking for people who have a proven track record of dealing with the public in a customer services role.
You can demonstrate you are a good listener with clear communication skills who can remain calm and professional whilst displaying a caring an empathetic attitude, dealing with a diverse range of customers.
The ability to record accurate details and use our IT systems is essential.

Qualification Requirement:
Level 2 in numeracy and literacy or equivalent.
Hours
The vacancy is for 18.5 hours per week between the hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm Friday. You will also be expected to cover the late shift up to 5.30pm one week in 6.
