LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Salary: Grade 3, SCP 4 £23,114 (FTE)  Actual salary £15,117 per annum depending on years’ service

Contract: Fixed term (linked to EHCP funding)

Working Hours: Term Time only (38 pupil weeks). Additional time may be required on INSET days for training which will receive an additional payment

Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 12.45 pm and 1.30 pm – 3.30 pm (28.75 hrs per week)

Start Date: September 2024

Ridgeway Primary Academy is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide support for a child entering Reception with Cerebral Palsy from September 2024.

The successful candidate will need to have patience, a sense of humour and the ability to work with a young person with learning needs.

The post is linked to funding for children with EHCPs and will be reviewed on an annual basis.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in maintaining positive working partnerships with colleagues, parents and carers.
  • Has good verbal and written communication skills
  • Has a commitment to continuing professional development Holds an NVQ L2 or L3 qualification or equivalent
  • Has some experience of working with children with special needs
  • Has experience within Early Years.
