The Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (HUET) is looking to recruit a full time Estates & Facilities Maintenance Operative, responsible for carrying out a range of duties which contribute to the maintenance, repair, security and general upkeep of the schools’ facilities.
In addition, you will be required to undertake a range of duties concerned with the premises to support the operation of the academy schools within the HUET. This post includes travel to, and work within the different school locations within the area (Hanley Swan Primary, Kempsey Primary and Welland Primary). A full driving licence and transport is therefore essential.
This role would ideally suit an individual with experience of and aptitude for general DIY, general maintenance and repair, such as a knowledge of basic plumbing, basic painting, basic electrical work, grounds maintenance and basic carpentry.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly team whose work is greatly valued across the HUET.
Working hours:
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Monday – Thursday; 12-8pm, Friday; 7:30pm finish.
Flexible working arrangements during half terms and summer holidays (13 weeks).
Salary:
£24,294 - £25,979 DOE (pay-award pending)
