Teaching Assistant
Contract: Fixed Term, Temporary until end of July 2025 with a possibility of becoming permanent
Salary Scale: TA2 depending upon experience, £23,500 - £23,893 (pay award pending) pro-rata
Actual salary: £17,434.46 - £17,726.03 per annum
Hours: Monday and Friday, 31.25 hours per week
We are committed to providing high quality learning for all children and are looking to recruit a class-based Teaching Assistant to support children.
This post is suitable for a Teaching Assistant with some experience, or for applicants who are in the process of gaining a TA qualification.
Ideally start date is Monday 30th September but there is some flexibility if required.
Pay Scale point will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
There will be further support and training available for the right applicant.
This is initially a temporary post until end of July 2025 with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Qualities we are looking for in our Teaching Assistant:
- An interest in, and love of, working with children.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Imaginative in delivering and supporting stimulating learning opportunities for children.
- Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
- Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative.
- Be patient, able to stay calm, listen, and value children’s views
- Good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
