We are seeking to appoint a temporary year 1 class teacher to join our wonderful school from Monday 4th November until 31st December 2025. As this is a maternity cover position, our aim is to enhance the transition for the children from the current year 1 teacher to the successful candidate during the second part of the autumn term, with the new teacher taking responsibility for the class from 1st January 2025.
The successful candidate must have a secure understanding of the year 1 National Curriculum expectations; a secure understanding and experience in teaching phonics and be able to plan and adapt lessons across all subjects, catering for all pupil needs.
