NURSERY GROUP LEADER
Early Years Teaching Assistant – initial fixed term contract until August 2025

37 hours including training days 
Actual Salary Range G5 - pt9 = £21,701.10 to pt17 = £24,855.32

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to lead a Nursery family group. You must be an energetic practitioner who is creative, imaginative and able to lead learning through play. 

The successful applicant will need:

• To possess a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
• To have experience of leading a Nursery group.
• To have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• To have an understanding of early language acquisition and language screening tools.
• To be able to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
• To be enthusiastic, friendly, approachable and flexible. 
• To be able to tune in to, rather than talk at, children, taking their lead and direction from what the children say or do.
• To be able to observe children sensitively and respond appropriately to encourage and extend curiosity and learning.
• To be able to use ICT as a tool to support learning.
• To be able to observe and listen to children in order to discover what children like to do, and to recognise when they feel confident, scared or frustrated. 
• To hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification or be willing to undertaken this.
