Our enthusiastic and experienced team are looking for part-time Senior Support Workers.
About Us
Pershore Short Breaks is a service that offers respite to individuals who have a learning and physical disabilities. We are regulated and inspected by CQC from whom we currently have a rating of “Good”. We provide a range of support and assistance with personal care to general day to day support with all activities of daily living, emotional, psychological, practical, and social support with the aim of meeting the individual’s chosen outcomes and promoting their independence.
We currently have a range of contracts available, for 19, 25.5, 20.5 hours in the day on a permanent contract and 31.5 hours in the night on a 12 month contract.
About You
You will have knowledge of care standards, CQC regulations and be able to promote person centred practice, choice dignity and respect. You will be an assertive and inspiring individual able to lead a team of support staff in ensuring these values are promoted and met. You will have a good understanding of adult safeguarding procedures, mental capacity and Deprivation of Liberty.
You will be experienced in leading and supporting staff, identifying staff motivations and managing conflict. You will be able to organise people, workloads and prioritise. You will be able to carry out effective supervision and always ensure agreed ways of working are met. You will support the management team in maintaining delivering a high- quality service and maintain the running of the service in their absence.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, complete records to a detailed and accurate standard. You will communicate effectively with the Exmoor team and wider multidisciplinary teams. If this and the above sounds just like you, then get in touch.
