Job Details
The Commandery is one of Worcester's key visitor attractions. As Retail & Reception Assistant you will play an important part in welcoming people to the historic building and helping to make their experience an enjoyable one.
As a key member of the frontline team you will look after The Commandery Shop, where you will maximise income from sales of retail stock, admission tickets and other chargeable activities, to support the work of The Commandery.
We are looking for someone with a track-record of providing an excellent customer welcome in a public-facing role.You will be an enthusiastic salesperson who is confident talking to visitors. Your retail experience will include sourcing stock to appeal to specific audiences, visual merchandising and stock control as well as operating electronic tills, cash handling and cashing up procedures. You will have the initiative to respond to problems, always looking to provide a positive experience for the visitor.
This part-time role is an average of 18.25 hours per week, worked over a two-week rota, every Wednesday and Friday and alternate weekends (both Saturday and Sunday). You may also be asked to work occasional evenings and Bank Holidays.The post holder works February - December each year - your salary for the 11 months is paid in equal instalments across 12 months.
