Job Details

We are looking for a Mobile Cleaning Operative to work with the Facilities Management team to provide a safe and clean environment for all staff and public using the establishments, which consist of offices and public spaces. You will be reporting to the Cleaning Team Leader and Senior Cleaning Team Leader.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Undertake the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Carry out a range of daily cleaning tasks, e.g. dusting, vacuuming, mopping and buffing, wiping down paintwork and partitions in line with the cleaning schedule for the location.
  • Work early mornings, daytime or evenings as required.
  • Undertake duties to safe standards of work- including knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Work mainly on your own, whilst being flexible to changing priorities.
  • Undertake any further training, relevant to the post to carry out a range of daily cleaning tasks, e.g. dusting, vacuuming, mopping and buffing, in line with the cleaning schedule for the location.  

You will need:

  • Proven experience of undertaking cleaning tasks.
  • Cleaning experience with basic knowledge of cleaning techniques.
  • COSHH Regulations Knowledge.
  • Health & Safety regulations knowledge.
  • Able to work morning or evenings as required. 
  • Ability to follow a cleaning specification.   

It is essential that the candidate can travel to all parts of the borough, at unsociable hours. Candidates must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle to be able to travel around the borough of Sandwell effectively and efficiently.

Hours:

20 Hours per week

Variable – 6am-10am – 4pm-8pm across various locations in Sandwell
