Job Title: Adults Social Worker
Team: Bromsgrove Area Team
Salary: £24,948 to £32,832 per annum, plus £2,514 market forces*
31 Hours per Week
Location:
Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Permanent, Part-time

The Role
The Bromsgrove Area Team currently has a vacancy for 1x 31 hours (part time) Social Worker post.

We are looking for Social Workers who have a positive and enthusiastic approach to practice, and experience with complex cases and situations. A high competent level of skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, alongside extensive knowledge of The Care Act, and the Mental Capacity Act is essential.

In Worcestershire we use the 3 Conversation Model which promotes a strength based, innovative and creative approach to practice, where you will support people to make positive changes in their life, exploring universal services as well as purchasing support packages to promote independence. You will need to have the confidence to advocate for our clients and work in partnership with health colleagues, other statutory partners, and voluntary sector providers.

The Bromsgrove Area Team is a very supportive and friendly team covering Bromsgrove, Rubery, Wythall and surrounding areas.

We foster a positive team culture and learning environment which includes weekly reflective practice and catch-up sessions with the whole team and regular guest speakers. You will be offered on-going training, and professional development opportunities, monthly supervision, and a warm, supportive working environment where we value your contribution, and staff value and support each other.

Quotes from staff
“After finishing my last stage of professional training, I had several options to choose from, but chose to remain in this team due to it being the best social work team I’ve been a part of. There is a real togetherness amongst the whole team from students to managers to pull together in the same direction. Added to a commitment to implement the 3Cs model, with devolved responsibly to workers, meaning decisions are more streamlined without the need for panels, leading to quicker support for the people we support; I wouldn’t want to practice anywhere else.”

“WCC has enabled me as a practitioner to use my professional judgement, creativity and autonomous decision making where appropriate. I receive an appropriate balance of professional support and reflective challenge (e.g., through supervision) to keep learning and developing my practice”
