Senior Residential Childcare Worker (2 full-time posts) - Ref: CH05024
Salary G7: £31,364 - £35,745 (plus 5% enhancement for unsociable hours and additional payments for sleeping in duties)

We are looking for people who have substantial experience of working within a Children’s Residential setting to join our Children’s Residential Services within Walsall.

As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will need to be someone who is creative, solution focused and able to take the lead in decision making. This role also requires you to be resilient, resourceful, enthusiastic and motivated to be a positive influence on our children and your team around you.

Successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a team that provides 24/7 cover on a rota basis. These shift patterns may vary across the service but they will all include working weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleeping in duties (additional payment) .
  • To apply for this role you will need to hold a level three/four qualification in children’s residential care or equivalent and also have substantial experience of working within a Children’s Residential setting

The Role
  • As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will be involved in offering support and guidance to colleagues in providing direct care for children and expected to be able to engage with children and their families and be highly ambitious in helping them to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Our focus is directed towards a child centred approach where we actively promote children’s rights. We deliver our services in safe personalised small group homes where the care is aimed at supporting children’s welfare.
