The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  •  Excellent, up-to-date knowledge of and a passion for Early Years Practice and leadership
  •  A love of learning and dedication to their own professional development
  • High expectations of pupils and will be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • The ability to monitor, evaluate and review, analyse data and be able to lead and motivate others by example.
  • Good organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork and sharing best practice with others.
  • Effective monitoring practice so as to assure the quality of teaching and learning in the Early Years, as well as for Early Reading, Phonics, and early maths in line with the school policy. This may include lesson observations, the monitoring of planning and scrutiny of pupils’ work, assessment data analysis, modelling of outstanding lessons and the delivery of INSET.
  • Knowledge of the latest approaches and expectations of teaching and learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) classes as well as teaching the RWI phonics programme.
  • This exciting post would suit an experienced teacher ready to move onto the next stage in their career.
