Responsible to: Head Teacher/School Business Manager
To support our growing school, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic School Administrator to join our successful school team. The Westminster School is a Special School catering for 275 pupils with moderate learning difficulties aged 7 to 19 years.
We are seeking a highly organised, IT literate individual with extensive administration experience with GSCE Maths and English at Grade C. This role is fast-paced and multi-faceted, so the ideal candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and work well under pressure. School experience is not essential as a proven background in a different setting will be considered.
You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, which include welcoming visitors to the school, answering calls and a broad range of administrative tasks. This is a hands-on role working to established processes/procedures without close supervision, other than that provided through working arrangements, methods and procedures. The position requires strong multitasking skills to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. A flexible approach to this role is essential to ensure the demands of the school are met.
We have a proactive, supportive Governing Board and strong partnerships with parents/carers, the Local Authority and the local community.

We moved to our new site in February 2011. The School was purpose built. Most ground floor classrooms have access to outside spaces, incorporating Learning Outside the Classroom into our enriched curriculum.
