Term time (including INSET days) plus 5 weeks
Working Hours: 35 hours per week- flexibility available
                          7 hours per day (split shift 6am – 9.30am & 2.30pm-6pm) – start time will be 6am and                            finish will be 6pm with flexibility available within the split shift times

The Role
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, trustworthy, efficient and friendly School Caretaker to join our team of committed staff.

You will be responsible for ‘taking care’ of the school site, including maintenance of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings and ensuring a clean, attractive, secure and welcoming site. We are very proud of our building and grounds so we especially want someone who will really care for our school, ensuring it looks its best, is safe and exemplifies the high expectations we have for our children.

We are looking for someone who has excellent DIY skills, ideally in one or more of the following basic plumbing, carpentry and painting. Some knowledge of Health & Safety requirements to include asbestos management, water testing, Fire Safety and COSHH would be an advantage. You must be numerate, computer literate and physically fit as this is a physical job as there is some heavy lifting involved.

Grade: D (NJC 04)
Rate per hour: £10.98
Per annum: £21,189 (pro rata to the number of hours worked per week)
