We are excited to be advertising for a new caretaker to join our team at Clinton Primary School. We’re looking for someone to become a crucial part of our school team, to help us to make sure our school premises are safe and clean for the children and staff. You will become a valued colleague and will lead our small team of cleaners.

So that we can find the best person for the job, we are happy to discuss how the hours will work best for suitable candidates. Please state which job option you are interested in from these below.

JOB OPTION 1: 36.5 hours (this could be decreased according to candidate preference)
The maximum number of hours would be 36.5 and would involve two shifts – one in the morning, ending at approximately 9am and the other in the afternoon, ending at 6.30pm. This role would involve a substantial amount of cleaning.

JOB OPTION 2: 20 hours (this could be decreased to be from 3pm until 6.30pm according to candidate preference)
This role would involve just the afternoon shifts and would be 20 hours per week, starting at 2.30pm and finishing at 6.30pm. This role would involve fulfilling the safety checks, doing maintenance work, supervising contractors and helping the cleaning team. The shift would end with locking up.

JOB OPTION 3: 10 - 12.5 hours (according to candidate preference)
This role would involve starting at 6.30am or 7.00am and working until 9am. 
Salary: £12.18 per hour. HOWEVER, depending on experience, this can be discussed at interview. Start date: Monday 4th November
