Job Details
To undertake a variety of tasks contributing to the safety and appearance of the environment within and around Sandwell MBC Estates in particular high and low-rise blocks of flats. (rostered weekend and bank holidays are required).
Duties will include routine and periodic cleaning to areas within and around the block, litter picking, removal of bulky items and hazardous waste (e.g. sharps) from communal areas, fire.
Safety and environmental inspections, reporting of communal repairs, minor handy person style repairs, removal of graffiti within and around the block, cleansing of bin rooms/areas and receptacles etc.
You will be expected to demonstrate the ability to:
- Work anywhere within the Borough of Sandwell.
- Undertake duties with regards to safe methods of work. Including knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH Regulations.
- Work as part of a team or on your own as required.
- Work with changing priorities and uncertainty.
- Drive Company Vehicle safely
The post holder must possess:
- Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Current Full Driving Licence. (Driving own vehicle for 12 months).
- Previous caretaking experiences including carrying out minor repairs, Fire Safety checks, etc.
Hours
37 Hours (Contracted weekends and bank holidays are also required)
