Job Details
A typical day working as a HR Business Support Officer may include:
- Acting as first point of contact for all HR administrative queries; via phone calls, emails or referral from a team member;
- Providing administrative support across the wider HR team, where required;
- Working as part of a team, this role will be responsible for all payroll and HR system updates in the Council’s people management system and then corresponding change of contract letters/emails;
- Co-ordination of the onboarding process for new joiners and the leaver process;
- Production of standard letters, contract offers, references, DBS checking, etc;
- General administration as and when required to include e-filing and general maintenance of employee records;
- Working with the HR Advisory team to support in employee relations cases as required;
- Managing the exit interview process across the Council where required;
- Other ad hoc HR projects and work as required.
- You're likely to join us from a similar role. To join us as an HR Business Support Officer, you should definitely have solid experience of delivering best-practice HR solutions and contractual administrative support.

- Appointment to this post is subject to satisfactory clearance of a basic disclosure check (Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS)) under the Police Act 1997.
