The Governors of The Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Administration Assistant to assist with administrative support within the school offices.
The successful applicant will work in a very busy office, have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible at all times. They will be required to carry out duties including:
- Reception duty, meeting a greeting children, parents and visitors to the school reception, signing in and out.
- Administration and maintenance of school meals. Input and upkeep of pupil records, dietary requirements and creating daily registers.
- Processing orders on FMS (Schools Financial Management System).
- Administration for Off Site, On Site, After School, Extended Schools Activities and Music Tuition. Monitoring of income with Fund Manager and ParentPay. Booking of events, services, transport and producing letters.
- Administration of Medical Tracker, Pupil and Staff Accident Reporting, Recording and Administration of Pupil Medication, requesting replacement medication and the completion of Care Plans. In addition, the post holder will be trained as an appointed First Aider.
- Inputting attendance information onto SIMS. Liaising with Parents / Carers relating to attendance and Leave of Absence. Undertaking First Day Absence Calling.
- Data input within SIMS, ParentPay, Tali (Fund Manager) and FMS. The appointee will be expected to train in other administrative tasks as required in order to provide cover in the case of absence

Band B, SCP 3-4 £22,737-£23,114 pro rata (£11.79-£11.98 per hour) (actual £20,288-£20,624 per annum) plus a Living Wage supplement to £12.00 per hour, payable from 1 April 2024
