An opportunity to join an award winning team providing support to People with a Dementia related need in one of two Dementia Gateways in Dudley.
Hours: 12 per week (primarily weekends)
Your primary role is to provide Domestic support in a Day Centre for people with a Dementia related need. You will assist in ensuring that the Dementia Gateway Centre is maintained in a clean and healthy state and the Domestic activities identified are carried out in an efficient and careful manner that complies with Health & Safety requirements.
You will have the ability to provide supportive contact with people with Dementia, and their Carers whilst they are attending the Centre, to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Previous experience of working within a domestic role within the private, voluntary, domestic or statutory sector is required.
- Awareness of Health & Safety legislation
- An ability to complete required records along with basic IT skills.
- Evidence of insight into the rights and needs of vulnerable adults
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible in working pattern
- Knowledge of Equality & Diversity issues
