Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Salary scale: 4 SCP 7-17, £15,359.11 - £18,721.83 per annum Contract term: Fixed term until August 31st (in the first instance)

We are looking for someone who is passionate about all children having the opportunity to reach their potential and ‘Life Life in all Its Fullness’. Someone who will have the highest expectations of pupils academically, behaviourally and socially and they will inspire and engage pupils through their tasks. Whilst work will be guided by the teacher or colleague, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to use their own initiative

We are looking for a TA who:

· has at least a level 2 teaching Assistant qualification

· will work with children of all abilities in a whole class setting as well as withdrawing individuals and small groups for focused support.

· is experienced with working either in Reception/KS1 or Year 6

· has the ability to effectively support the learning and emotional needs of children;

· has a positive approach and a desire to understand and to support children’s needs;

· has high level literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE grade C or above);

· is flexible and adaptable;

· works well under direction, but also shows initiative and can take ownership of tasks;

· enjoys working as part of a team;

· support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process.

· work in respectful partnership with parents/carers when supporting children in their learning and development

· be approachable and resilient

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
