PEP Coordinator - Virtual School

Full time - 37 hours per week

Maternity Cover - 12 months 

Salary: £24,294 - £25,979 per annum - NJC Scale 4

It is an exciting time to join Telford & Wrekin Council, and the Virtual School. The VS Head Teacher’s duties have extended further in September 2024 to encompass kinship care, in addition to the established duties of overseeing and promoting the educational outcomes for children in care, children with a social worker and previously looked after children.

This is a maternity cover post for one year to work within the Virtual School to maintain an overview of the Personal Education Plan (PEP) process for children in care, and to ensure that the Virtual School Team and schools comply with their statutory duties in relation to PEPs.

  6. Works well individually and as part of a team.
  7. Has effective and meticulous planning abilities.
  8. Has a warm and caring nature with the ability to develop positive relationships with our young people through a variety of events which the Virtual School offers.
