St James Academy is seeking to appoint a Learning Manager to take a lead role in managing and delivering pastoral support to pupils.
This is an exciting time to join St James Academy and Dudley Academies Trust. For the third consecutive year, the school is oversubscribed and this year, the school achieved its best ever examination results. Not only did outcomes exceed those in 2019 but St James also did better than 2022, bucking the national trend. It is clear that St James is an academy that is rapidly improving and its dynamic, aspirant culture will ensure that the school goes from strength to strength.
Dudley Academies Trust was formed in September 2017 under the sponsorship of Dudley College of Technology. Our Trust schools are St James Academy, The Link Academy, Pegasus Academy, Beacon Hill Academy, Blowers Green and Kates Hill Primary. The Trust when combined with the sponsor, annually supports 8,500 young people aged 4 to 19 years old and employs almost 1,300 staff.
As a Trust we are highly centralised, which means that all of our systems and processes are aligned. Everything we do is developed collaboratively involving many professionals and experts who work together across the Trust, all striving to provide the highest quality provision for our learners.
Teaching and Learning is supported by a central team of Subject Directors who are experienced teachers with leadership and mentoring skills who work across our academies supporting teachers in their personal development, data analysis and curriculum planning. Subject Directors have specific areas of focus such as Mathematics, Science, Reading, Writing and History.
The Trust recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority for the Trust. A common and extensive programme of staff development operates across the Trust, this is extended to senior and middle leaders, aspiring leaders, teaching and support staff and non-qualified teachers.
Closing date – Monday 13th October 2024 - we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the date advertised.
