The Headteacher at Rivers Primary Academy is seeking to appoint two experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for 32.5 hours per week, term time only.
Responsibilities of the post:
The Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) main role is to provide support for a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan. The SEN TA will ensure that the pupil can integrate as fully as possible in the activities undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress.
Duties will include specific activities to assist the pupil’s individual learning and social needs. The SEN TA will be responsible for implementing targets for the pupil’s in liaison with the class teacher and Inclusion Lead.
Key Requirements:
• Experienced in working with children
• Highly organised and works efficiently
• Friendly and a team player
• Good communication skills (e.g. educational professionals)
• Good ICT skills
• Well motivated and enthusiastic
• Excellent Behaviour Management
• Level 3 or equivalent in a related area
