The Governing Body of St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint:
A Teaching Assistant to work in Early Years
to commence as soon as possible
Level 3 30hrs p/w Term Time £19185 – £21,689

Please note, although being a practising Catholic is desired, this is not a necessity for any application and candidates will need to meet the criteria set out below and show they can demonstrate the above.

- For this role specifically, candidates must (non-exhaustive list):
- be able to support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum;
- have a good understanding of child development;
- have excellent numeracy and literacy skills;
- demonstrate a high level of speech and language;
- be able to liaise with parents/carers, where necessary;
- work with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment;
- implement agreed learning activities;
- be flexible enough to work around the school, including covering classes if needed, and support other staff members from around the school where necessary including trips & events;
- implement agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs;
- help pupils to access learning activities through specialist support.
