Do you have an interest in governance and local democracy? Warwick District Council has an exciting opportunity for a determined and enthusiastic Committee Services Officer to join the Civic & Committee Services team on a fixed term basis for 18 months.
This role provides an opportunity to work with senior officers and elected Members at Warwick District Council. The post holder will be responsible for preparing agendas, attending committee meetings, producing minutes and other associated work.
You will need exceptional writing skills to be able to prepare concise and accurate written records of decisions made, and be comfortable working with elected Members, senior officers and members of the public. The ability to demonstrate knowledge of legislation relevant to the role and/or previous experience of working in the public sector or a political environment is desirable.
This is a full-time role but requires flexible working hours to accommodate a number of meetings which are held in the evening. The post holder will also be part of the team responsible for delivering elections and referendums in Warwick District. You will be required to work 37 hours per week Monday-Friday with a flexibility to work from home and in the office with prior agreement from the Civic & Committee Services Manager. Depending on business needs, you may be required to work in the office full time.
