Job Title: Natural Flood Management Project Officer
Salary: up to £34,669 per annum (inclusive of Market Forces)
35 Hours per Week
Location: County Hall, Worcester
Team: Flood Risk Management
Fixed Term Contract: until March 2027 with a strong aspiration to secure further grant funding
The Role:
Worcestershire County Council’s Flood Risk Management Team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to help deliver the Worcestershire Working with Water natural flood management project.
Working within a small natural flood management team you will work with landowners, communities, colleagues and partners from other agencies to identify and install natural interventions on upper catchments across the county to slow and hold back potential flood water.
You will need good knowledge of flood risk management and natural flood management and having worked with landowners and communities will be a distinct advantage. A positive attitude, an ability and willingness to work independently and pro-actively and an open mind about new techniques and approaches will be essential.
