WE ARE STOKE HEATH! Our community supports and grows together. We celebrate our diversity and promote equality. We are learners who are inclusive, honest and respectful.
What is the job role?
We are looking to appoint a passionate, and enthusiastic, play assistant to support our lunchtime provision, providing a safe and structured lunchtime for children aged 2-11. Lunchtime is a key time for learning, and it is important that we structure play to enable this to happen.
This role would suit an active person who is willing to play games/sports with the children at lunchtime. The role will largely be outside on the playground but may also involve supporting children in the dining hall. Experience of working with primary aged children and the want to work towards an appropriate qualification (if not already) would be desirable.
Who we are looking for:
- Someone who is committed, enthusiastic and have high expectations;
- Someone that can work as part of a team;
- Someone who is friendly, approachable, flexible and a reliable member of the team;
- Someone who is organised and has good interpersonal and communication skills.
In return we can offer you:
- A friendly and welcoming school community with supportive families, staff and governors.
- The opportunity to make a difference to the children and families that we serve.
- A school that is committed to the wellbeing, work life balance and professional development of all staff.
For further information, to have an informal conversation with the headteacher or to arrange a visit, please contact 02476454741 or email admin@stokeheath.coventry.sch.uk.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS. Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) for an additional pre employment check with effect 1 Sept 22, please note, an online search may form part of this recruitment process.
